About the site:
I started this site in 1999, as a tiny page at geocities.com, named The Melissa Auf der Maur Emporium(I know, I know). It had a white background with hot pink bubbles, and maybe 15 Melissa pictures on offer. But it grew, and had to move, and continued moving, moving, and moving. It had some 6 or 7 homes before I finally got the means to get myself a domain and hosting.

I got to know Melissa after she contacted me in 2002, and she's been incredibly kind to me and the site over the years. Late 2008, we decided that Firecrasher would be the 'official' Melissa archive, in support of her official site at xmadmx.com.

Tech Stuff:
Because I'm a geek at heart, I would like to tell you:

I host this site with the lovely MediaLayer. The site itself was designed in Photoshop and coded in PHP by me. I use the CakePHP framework as its core, and I'm also a big fan of the JQuery javascript framework.

The pictures used in this layout are courtesy of cornershopstudios via xmadmx.com and Rosy.

Screen resolutions and browsers:
Best viewed in Firefox. If you are using Internet Explorer, Chrome, Opera etc., you're probably fine. I don't test extensively in Safari, but you should be ok. Best viewed with a minimum resolution of 1024x768. If you have a lower resolution, I don't even know what you're doing.
